教學目標：本課程為單一學期教授，課程目標在教授學生了解基本光電元件光學特性，而該課程可以搭配系上其它的實務課並加以增強學生們的實務知識，課程將以解說光電元件原理及光電儀測為主要內容，並訓練學生如何得知光電元件的特性與判斷數據。
